Industry's Future Leaders

Jamie Courrier a student in Hospitality Management at  Widener University took time during her break to visit the Courtyard this morning to gain pervebial wisdom form those who face the challenges of a hospitality career on a daily basis.

It was my pleasure to share my experience and advice with her as she begins her exploration of the Hospitality business. Her goals are to be in event management, and her professional demeanor, and pleasant personality will certainly help her to acheive those goals. My most important piece of advice to anyone wishing to be in the Hospitality business is to gain experience. Line level jobs provide a solid base to grow from. You can more effectively manage when you have experienced.

Yo may end up a manager in Hospitality without a degree, but I doubt you will get a managemnet position without experience. We wish Jamie the best of luck in her future!
